Year 4
Plastic Coasters
In Year 4, we have been learning about the importance of recycling. The children found out about how plastic rubbish can harm innocent animals and destroy our wonderful world.
We read a book called 'One Plastic Bag' written by
Miranda Paul. The children discovered how a plastic bag can be upcycled and turned into something new and useful.
Following our work on plastic recycling, the children were inspired to design an item using plastic bags. We decided to make plastic bag coasters.
The children learnt how to plait, sew and cut carefully to create the coasters.
