Woodpeckers is our before and after school care club that operates in school on weekdays. The club cares for our children from 7.30 am until school starts and from the end of the school day until 6.00pm or when they are collected by parents, whichever is the sooner.

Breakfast Club - £6.30 - 7:30-8:45am to include cereal or toast
After School Session 1 - £10.75 - 3:30-5:30pm- to include a light tea
After School Session 2 - £13.00 - 3:30-6:00pm to include a light tea
Year 1 - Year 6
Breakfast Club - £6.30 - 7:30-8:45am to include cereal or toast
After School Club Session 1 - £9.75 - 3:30-5:30pm to include a snack
After School Club Session 2 - £12.00 - 3:30-6:00pm to include a snack
30 Hour Nursery Children
Lunchtime Supervision Fee £3.50 - 11:45-12:25
Please note these prices are correct as at 1st September 2023, but are subject to change.
A 5% discount will be made for any 5 day a week bookings i.e. 5 breakfast club bookings or 5 after school club bookings. Please note that lunchtime supervision for 30 hour nursery children is not eligible for this discount.
Important Notice- If you wish to make a booking in the breakfast and afterschool club and for nursery lunchtime supervision you must make the booking via Magic Booking. Please contact the school office or email woodpeckers@blackwood.walsall.sch.uk if you would like to sign up for an account. Please note it takes 48 hours to set up a new account.

Where to find your account
To access your account, please go to https://blackwood.magicbooking.co.uk
When you get to the login page please click the ‘Forgotten Password’ hyperlink, enter the email address that you have received this email on, and follow the instructions received in the email to create your password. Check your junk folder if you don’t see the email in your inbox.
How to make a booking
Please refer to the Parent User Guide and follow :
Step 1‘option 1’Pre loaded accounts.
Please note the email address you need to use is the one you have received this email on.
Step 2- You will NOT need to upload any medical or dietary information as this data will be transferred across from the main school system over the next few weeks. You will only need to complete the ‘consents’ section which asks if you allow your child to watch a PG film. This is located in the ‘children’ section of your account.
Please ignore steps 3 and 4 as they are not relevant to Blackwood School.
Step 5- Book an activity for your child
This section gives you instruction as to how to make the booking for breakfast club, afterschool club and lunchtime supervision.
Step 6 – Book another activity for your child
This step informs you how to make additional bookings.
At this stage the booking of any before and after school clubs is not active. You will be advised when these are open for bookings
Step 7- Complete your Booking
You must complete your booking to ensure you have a place for your child. Please ensure you have made payment otherwise your booking will not be completed. Please note you can pay instalments by clicking on the green instalment button. This will spread the cost over the year. You can pay by debit/credit card and save your card details in the system so it will take a regular payment each month or you can pay by Tax Free Childcare or childcare vouchers.
Step 8- Accessing Booking Details
This step shows you how to access the bookings you’ve made on the system. This is a really useful area to remind you what you’ve booked.
