Literacy

Lesson 3 – Catch it

Today I would like you to write a non-chronological report about meerkats. You will need to turn your notes that you made yesterday into sentences.

You must include;

  • Subheadings
  • Paragraphs
  • Capital letters and full stops
  • Conjunctions (so, but, if, because)
  • Different sentence starters
  • Adjectives
  • Adverbs
  • Commas in a list

You can create your non-chronological report on plain paper or you can use the templates that we have provided.

Below is an example of non-chronological report. This report isn’t about meerkats but you can have a look at this example to give you an idea of what you’re going to be writing.

We have done lots of non-chronological reports in Year 3 so I know that you will be brilliant.
