There are three levels to each comprehension text.
It is fine for you to read these short pieces of text to your child and they can answer the questions, based on what has been read to them. However, you should encourage your child to read as much of the page as possible, as this will help rehearse their blending and reading of unfamiliar words.
One of these activities a day would be great practice and the answer sheets are attached.
Once they have finished, the children could maybe make puppets of their own to help them retell the story they have just read!
