Monday 11th May 2020

  • Practise reading all of set 1, 2 and 3 RWI sounds using the PowerPoints (see below) Set 1 sounds, Set 2 sounds, Set 3 sounds. Make a note of any sounds that child is not confident with and if you would like further support, please contact me.
  • Work your way through the aw sound PowerPoint (see below).
  • Complete the aw handwriting and spelling sheet (see below). This website link will show your child an animation of how to form the letter 'a' in the correct direction. https://www.teachhandwriting.co.uk/cursive-letters-beginners-choice-3.html
  • Practise this week's spellings (see below).

 

Tuesday 12th May 2020

  • Practise reading all of set 1, 2 and 3 RWI sounds using the PowerPoints (see below) Set 1 sounds, Set 2 sounds, Set 3 sounds. Make a note of any sounds that child is not confident with and if you would like further support, please contact me.
  • Practise reading the aw words (see below).
  • Read spot the aw words with your child (see below) and circle all of the words in the letter that have the sound aw in them.
  • Practise this week's spellings (see below).

 

Wednesday 13th May 2020

  • Practise reading all of set 1, 2 and 3 RWI sounds using the PowerPoints (see below) Set 1 sounds, Set 2 sounds, Set 3 sounds. Make a note of any sounds that your child is not confident with and if you would like further support, please contact me.
  • Practice reading the Year 1 common exception words using the PowerPoint (see below). Make a note of any words that your child is not confident with and practise reading these regularly. If you would like further support, please contact me.
  • Play the game aw snakes and ladders (see below).
  • Practise this weeks spellings (see below).

 

Thursday 14th May 2020

  • Practise reading all of set 1, 2 and 3 RWI sounds using the PowerPoints (see below) Set 1 sounds, Set 2 sounds, Set 3 sounds. Make a note of any sounds that your child is not confident with and if you would like further support, please contact me.
  • Practise reading the phase 5 aw words (see below).
  • Complete today's daily writing challenge (see home learning page). Your challenge is to try and include an aw word in your written response. This website link has animations that will show your child how to correctly form their capital letters.
