Tuesday 21st April 2020

  • Practise reading all of set, 1, set 2 and set 3 RWI sounds using the pdf document (see below) RWI sounds - set 1/2/3. Make a note of any sounds that child is not confident with and if you would like further support, please contact me.
  • Read through the orange RWI e-book 'Jam tarts' again as you did yesterday. In school, the children would repeat reading the book in order to improve their fluency and accuracy. This time ask your child questions about what the meanings of different words are in the book that they may not have seen before. This is a great way to develop and expand your child's vocabulary
  • Complete the pdf document (see below) called 'Handwriting practice using the sounds i-e and o-e'.

This link https://www.teachhandwriting.co.uk/cursive-letters-beginners-choice-3.html of animation videos would be useful to show the children beforehand to look at how the letters 'i' 'l' 't' 'c' 'e' & 'h' are formed correctly.
