We regret that there are no parking arrangements for parents within the school grounds. Parents bringing their children to school by car should not park on the double yellow lines outside the school as this compromises the safety of children walking into school and causes traffic congestion. The police and enforcement officers regularly patrol the areas and complaints of dangerous parking are passed on to local police colleagues and are dealt with formally. Parking should also show consideration to home owners living close to school and to pedestrians using paths. Pedestrian paths should not be blocked by poorly parked vehicles. Special measures are in place to prevent reversing or turning near the Cedar Drive entrance. Please note that the Cedar Drive Gate is not open at lunchtimes. For special events such as Parent Evenings after school, the Cedar Drive Entrance is opened to allow parking on the back playground.

We have a crossing patrol ‘Lolly Pop’ man at the Foley Road West/ Blackwood Road junction immediately before and after school hours to assist children and parents walking to school from this direction.

All children entering school should use the designated paths only. The hawthorn hedge bordering the Blackwood Road entrance is cut regularly but care should be taken when accompanying young children along this path. The Woodland Walk directs children and parents to the front entrance from Blackwood Road so please us the path and refrain from walking along the main drive.
