Year 2

Year 2 pod partial closure Home Learning

Following the partial closure of our Year 2 pod, the teachers in Year 2 have provided work for your children to complete on Friday 23rd October and Monday 2nd November. The children who have been sent home today will be able to return to school on Tuesday 3rd November following their period of isolation.

Please continue to hear your children read regularly. The Oxford Owl website is particularly useful to support your home learning in regards to reading (https://home.oxfordowl.co.uk/).  You can sign up for free and your child can access eBooks of their current level.  There are additional activities provided online for each book.

Welcome to Year 2!

The children have been asked by Chris a structural engineer to investigate the strength of different types of bridges to help him decide which type of bridge to build.

Spellings now play a huge part in our progress, as writers. Below is a list of the common exception spellings that we're expected to know by the end of Year 2.
