Applying the skill – Expanding on sentences
Lesson 2
Yesterday we focused on expanding sentences by using fronted adverbials, conjunctions and expanded noun phrases. Today we are going to apply this skill to the animation ‘The Little Shoemaker’.
Watch the animation provided below from the beginning and stop at 0.57 seconds.
Using the knowledge and skills that you learnt yesterday, we would like you to write your own sentences about what you have watched so far in the animation. However, we don’t want to see simple sentences. You MUST make sure that you are expanding on them by using fronted adverbials, conjunctions and expanded noun phrases.
If you are unsure about how to do this, think back to what you did yesterday. Remember, you always have the opportunity to revisit the power point too.
