Our Autism Central Hubs offer guidance to families, carers and personal assistants of autistic people. All of our sessions are run by Peer Educators. These are parents or carers of autistic people, who are happy to share their knowledge and experience with you. They offer group and one-to-one sessions to help you and other parents and carers find the information and services available in your area. Hubs may also run events such as workshops, drop-in sessions, coffee mornings or virtual meet-ups.

The School Nursing Service supports children and young people aged four (in full time school) up to the age of 19 years old who attend school or are home educated in the Walsall borough.

The service is provided by a team led by school nurses who are qualified nurses with specialist training in public health for children, young people and families. The service delivers the Health Child Programme 5-19.

School Nurses are skilled in identifying health problems or concerns and to provide early support. We offer advice and support on a wide range of health issues e.g. sleep, toileting, manage your child's emotions/behaviour. We can provide confidential support to older children and young people.

Every school in Walsall has access to a School Nurse.
