In-Year Admissions
Blackwood Academy may have limited vacancies in some of our year groups.
Applications for in-year places should be made directly to Walsall Council https://go.walsall.gov.uk/schools-and-learning/schools-in-walsall/school-admissions/moving-to-a-different-school
You will usually be advised in writing whether a place can be offered within ten school days of making your application and at the very latest within fifteen school days.
As part of our duty of care, we will then be in touch with your child’s previous school to ensure that we can meet their needs.
If your application is successful, you will be given a start date (usually after a half term or term). Your child will then be supported in their transition into their new school.
When an application for a place at this academy is unsuccessful, families are able to appeal the decision by completing our Admissions Appeals Form, which you can obtain from the school office.
