  • Easter Bonnets Egg-stravaganza

Fri 07 Apr 2017 Ms Bains

Today, KS1 put on the most egg-squisite Easter Bonnet parade with proceedings starting promptly without de'lay'. The standard was again egg-stremely high with some parents (we suspect smiley) poaching a few Pinterest ideas.

One egg-spert judge was quoted as saying "Omelettin' any copy-cat Pinterest ideas slide this year, you can get your inspiration from anywhere these days". The children modelled their bonnets egg-ceptionally well with the KS2 audience having a smashing time.

There was plenty of class competitiveness with a number of teachers overheard saying "If you can't beat them...."

Easter bonnets will be parading on the KS1 playground from 3pm (Reception), 3.10pm (Y1), 3.10pm (Y2) where parents can get inspiration as no doubt they will be hatching plans for next years bonnets!

Happy Fry-day to you all and a very happy Easter break.

Remember school is oeuf until the 24th April.

    See you all then.

  • Year 6 Gallery Rebels Exhibition

Thu 06 Apr 2017 Ms Bains

Today, Year 6 showcased their amazing art and sculptures during their annual exhibition. This year the pupils were recreating renowned works of surrealist, expressionist and impressionist work. A number of pieces were original creations in the style of much-admired artists such as Van Gogh, Monet and Dali.

As ever the standard was extremely high with some particularly eye-catching pieces. No doubt some of these pieces will become highly sought after and valuable in years to come. Well done year 6!

  • Prepare to be shell-shocked by our KS2 Egg-citing Parachutes

Mon 03 Apr 2017 Ms Bains
This year's KS2 Easter Challenge was to make an egg-citing crash suit and parachute that would protect a fresh egg which was dropped from the school roof. It made for a cracking start to the week with lots of models arriving this morning.  The models were egg-sactly what we were hoping for with some egg-ceptional prototypes. No yolk, the pupils and parents took this challenge to the egg-streme with colourful models and even an egg in a dress, no eggs-aggeration! Well done to everyone who brought in their design and thanks for going the egg-stra mile!
