This week, there are lots of different activities for you to complete during your reading time at home. As well as the activities below, you can continue to access some extra videos and activities on Google Classroom. Mr Nicolls is sharing 'The Hobbit', Miss Brady is reading 'Gangsta Granny' and Mrs Bradbury has started 'George's Marvellous Medicine'. Each week, we will be sharing a few more chapters from each book along with a short task that can be completed once you have finished listening to the extract. If you have your own copy of any of the books, you could follow along with this as we read aloud to you. It is up to you whether you choose to follow all three stories or just one! We hope you enjoy them and don't forget that you can leave a comment in the box below each post.

Please make sure that you are reading something everyday for at least ten minutes and remember that it doesn't just have to be a book from school. You can access reading books of your level on Oxford Owl using the login that your teacher has sent out via Marvellous Me. Please remember to keep a log of any books that you have read in your green reading diaries if you have them at home.

You can choose what reading activity you would like to complete each day.  For example:

Monday: Set activity from your teacher e.g. comprehension

Tuesday: Independent reading of own book at home.

Wednesday: Watch and follow one of the teachers on Google classroom and complete the task set by them.

Thursday: Inference based activity

Friday: Independent reading of own book at home.
