Skill Based - Up levelling Sentences
Lesson 1
This week we are going to be looking at a new animation ‘The Little Shoemaker’. However, we are not going to watch the animation all at once as we are going to be revealing the story as we go along.
This first session will focus on our skills of expanding on our writing by using fronted adverbials, conjunctions and expanded noun phrases.
Go through the power point provided below. Here it will explain what is meant by fronted adverbials, conjunctions and expanded noun phrases. The power point also provides a number of tasks for you to complete where you will be practising up levelling sentences using these key features. There are no additional worksheets for this lesson, all you need is some paper and a pen.
