It is expected that children will complete homework each week. Children's homework will be checked every week. We expect Year 4 children to read at least 2 times a week to an adult. This reading should be recorded in the reading record. We focus a great deal on understanding the content of what is being read; asking a variety of questions about the content in order to ensure they gain a full understanding of the plot, characters and themes.
Below is a useful reference for what your child will be expected to do at home:
Reading - 4 times a week please. Please make use of the wonderful Bug Club reading resource.
Literacy Homework or Numeracy homework

Out door P.E is on a Friday morning and Indoor P.E will be on a Thursday morning - taught by a gym teacher. Please make sure that all school uniform and PE kit is clearly labelled and in school for our PE lessons during the week.
